Applying for Study

Single Units of Competency

 

GoodStart Training College offers study options for students that wish to study single units of competence. Students are able to select to study any single unit of competence from the following qualifications:

  • CHC30708 Certificate III in Children’s Services

  • CHC50908 Diploma of Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care)

  • CHC60208 Advanced Diploma of Children’s Services

Applying for enrolment

If you wish to apply to study a single unit of competence for example CHCCHILD401A Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - please download and complete the enrolment application booklet from the link below.

Please make sure you read over all the information supplied in the Enrolment Application Booklet and then submit your application via email or post (follow the instructions within the Application Booklet).

 

If you are required to study a unit of competency for licensing purposes i.e. mandatory reporting, please contact Student Services to see which unit of competence you would be required to complete.

 

How are the units delivered?

The units of competency will be delivered to each candidate either via email and web download, or via general post. Candidates are asked to select their preference when they complete the Enrolment Application Booklet.

 

When can I start studying?

Candidates that wish to study single units of competency are able to submit an enrolment application at any time. Once the application has been received by Student Services please allow 2 weeks for your application to be processed. Candidates will receive communication via email and post once a commencement date has been determined.

 

Fees

GoodStart employees are eligible to study single units of competency free of charge – provided they are enrolled into one unit of competency at a time. 

 

Candidates that are Non-GoodStart employees will be required to pay a cost of $155 (excl GST) per unit of competency.

 

* Please note all educational fees are GST exempt.
