Traineeships & Apprenticeships

Traineeships and Apprenticeships are unique ways of obtaining a nationally recognised qualification while working and gaining valuable experience in the early learning sector. These learning pathways are government subsidised programs.
You must be employed at Goodstart Early Learning to be eligible to apply for a Traineeship or Apprenticeship. Click here to view career opportunities at Goodstart Early Learning .

Traineeships (known as ‘Apprenticeships’ in the Northern Territory) are usually offered to individuals who may be new to the profession and have no previous early childhood qualifications. You will study towards your CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care while working in an early learning centre.
Apprenticeships (known as ‘Traineeships’ in NSW, SA, Tas, Vic and WA) are offered to educators already working in an early learning centre who would like to take the next step in their career and move beyond the role of Assistant Educator. Apprentices will study the CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and may be employed as a Lead Educator, Assistant Director or Centre Director.
